Isn't this a wonderful little chapel?? It's located on the grounds of the Heydon trust (43 acres) in Somerset, the largest surviving single estate on the Island, dating back to the 17th century. Up until fairly recently, the chapel served as a tiny house, as you can see from the rainwater collection system in the back where the kitchen once was.
Twice daily three nuns who belong to a ecumenical community sing Gregorian antiphonal chants that date back to the six century. This tiny chapel is the only place in Bermuda where "plain song" can still be heard. After hearing the singing today, I left the chapel feeling unusually peaceful and relaxed.
